Terms of Service

By creating an account, signing in, or using any part of Labnology (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Labnology is an educational tool for medical laboratory science students, educators, and clinicians. Content — including lessons, simulators, case studies, question banks, and AI-generated responses — is provided for learning and self-assessment only. It is not medical advice, and it is not a substitute for institutional training, clinical judgment, or licensed supervision.

You must not use the Service to make decisions about the diagnosis or treatment of any real patient.

• You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials confidential.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You may not share your account, resell access, or use the Service on behalf of another person without permission.

You agree not to:

• Scrape, mirror, or bulk-download content or question banks;
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code or model weights;
• Interfere with the Service, other users, or platform security;
• Upload unlawful, infringing, harassing, or clinically identifiable patient data;
• Use the Service to build a competing product.

The Labnology platform, its content, curriculum, artwork, tutor personas, and software are owned by Labnology or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You receive a limited, non-transferable, revocable license to access the Service for personal educational use.

Any content you submit (notes, questions to a tutor, feedback) is licensed to Labnology for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.

Portions of the Service use AI models to generate explanations, tutor responses, and study material. AI output can be incomplete or incorrect. You are responsible for verifying anything you rely on against authoritative sources and institutional guidance.

Paid features are billed through the payment processor listed at checkout. Prices, features, and renewal terms are shown before purchase. See the Refund Policy for cancellation and refund terms.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, Labnology disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Labnology and its team will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Aggregate liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid Labnology in the twelve months before the claim arose.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time; sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
